Got out alive.Arrived safely, the flight over was good we did it easier than expected, we had a few hours wait in LA and then the last leg to New York was tough. Few hiccups at JFK so that last 20 km's seem to take as long but arrived in hotel room about midnight Friday, I think we worked out door to door was about 26 hours. We did not get a lot of sleep on plane but the trip all up was not too bad at all.
Hotel magnificent, bed even better....
1st day in New York Saturday, we wanded around Central Park (lovely), had a little look at midtown where we are staying, rained in the aftrnoon which was OK becuase we were both suffering from a little jet lag.
Great dinner in an Italian market place called 'Eataly', lots of great Italian produce, run by Mario Bartoli.
2nd day Sunday - had a look downtown, did all the usual suspects, Statue of Liberty, Empire State etc, dinner in Little Chinatown.
3rd day Monday - heading off to pick up the car to head upstate new york.
Heard that Geelong and Manly have won, not much other news from down there.
Allison also sad because Cary was not on the top of the Empire State Building waiting for her. even though I felt like jumping I am hanging in there :)
