Day 3 Entering the Wild

After taking the obligatory photos of the hotel, florist shop to share with Ros and the art shop to share with Neridah we took a yellow cab back to the JFK airport to pick up the hire car.
At the car rental counter Stephen was doing his usual funny man (clown) act, the rental lady just looked at me and said ‘You have 24 days of this!’ hum was she trying to tell me something………..
Stephen setup the GPS and focused on the right hand side of the road and then ground hog day began – we reached the La Guardia airport and we would have looped the airport at least six times.  By this time Stephen was frayed and was arguing with GPS woman but she was determined her instructions were correct and they were not to be challenged.  Fortunately we noticed the sign indicating the bridge we wanted to use and that saved the rather tense situation.  We were finally on our way.
We headed to the Catskills – it’s beautiful, the first touch of green
Accommodation choice was at Woodstock and as it turns out it will be hard to beat.  After failing on the first couple of choices we drove to the Woodstock Country Inn (a B&B).  Just lovely with deer, chimp monks and squirrels in the yard.  David  Bowie rents it out each summer.  This morning we started the day with a walk to the lake and then beautiful home cooked blueberry pancakes.

Where David Bowie and we stay when we are in Woodstock, Catskills!!!!
